On December 12, 2017, Hydropothecary announced it will build a 1 million-square-foot greenhouse on its Masson-Angers property located at the intersection of Chemin de la Rive and Chemin du Quai.
The new greenhouse, which is a key part of the company’s expansion plan, is expected to be completed by December 2018. It will create more than 100 additional local jobs and help Hydropothecary respond to the demand for adult-use recreational cannabis.
As part of this project, Hydropothecary is required to harvest trees on its property. These trees were originally planted for use by the pulp and paper industry.
The operation, which has been authorized by the City of Gatineau, will take place during the week of February 26 to March 2, 2018. We will build a raised bank of land with vegetation along Chemin de Quai to partially conceal the completed greenhouse facility from the road. Please see the map below for an illustration of the area to be harvested.

We wish to thank the residents of Masson-Angers for their patience during the tree-harvest operation.
