Oil Product Processing Specialist

We are currently seeking an Oil Product Processing Specialist who will be responsible for the extraction, blending, diluting and packaging of medical cannabis oil, as well as completing all required documentation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Preparing and operating extraction machinery;
  • Blending bulk cannabis oils to produce a finished oil dilution;
  • Working with the Quality Assurance team to submit samples for analysis;
  • Entering production and analysis data into an oil production database, and ensuring said database is accurate and updated at all times;

Graphic Designer

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will develop print and digital marketing material, play an active role in ensuring Hydropothecary’s presence on multiple social media platforms, and participate in the execution of various campaigns. Although reporting to the Marketing Manager, the incumbent will be expected to work closely and liaise with our Business Development team and Communications experts.

Among other things, the Graphic Designer will be expected to:

  • Assist in the development, review and update of all marketing materials (print and digital), ensuring branding guidelines are respected at every level;
  • Participate in the development and execution of a Social Media Strategy and generate required imagery for social media,

Cleaning Specialist

We are currently seeking a Cleaning Specialist who will report to the Facilities and Security Manager. The Cleaning Specialist will work closely with other Facilities staff to ensure that office spaces, shared spaces and production areas are cleaned in accordance with Standards Operating Procedures and Health Canada requirements. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Clean various workspaces in accordance with the pre-established schedule.
  • Ensure cleaning of offices spaces: sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting and upholstered furniture.
  • Clean and disinfect public areas such as lunchrooms and washrooms.
  • Empty Trash containers and recycling bins.
  • Periodically wash windows and walls.
  • Clean walkways, hallways, walls and/or counters in the Production area in accordance with SOP and ACMPR requirements. This includes greenhouses, laboratories and other secured areas.

Requirements:

  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial cleaning is an asset.

    Dried Product Personnel

    The Hydropothecary Corporation is a licensed producer of medical marijuana, which is sold legally and directly to patients with a medical document from their doctor through our company website.     • Be able to work in a clean and efficient manner.

    All Dried Product Personnel must understand and follow all regulations, guidelines, and company policies pertaining to safety, security, and handling of product. They must read, understand, and adhere to all standard operating procedures pertaining to the work they have been assigned.

    Site Supervisor 6 month contract

    We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor who will report to the Director, Capitals Projects. The site supervisor to work on an ongoing construction project. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Quality Assurance Specialist

    We are currently seeking an Quality Assurance Specialist. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Management, the Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the quality assurance systems for medical cannabis in strict compliance with Health Canada’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). The Quality Assurance Assistant is responsible for supporting the company’s Quality Assurance, production, maintenance and facilities departments. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Performs QA monitoring in all areas of upstream and downstream production processes and communicates results to respective area stakeholders. This He/She will be mainly accountable for any production
    • Performs laboratory functions such as testing, equipment management and test product development
    • Provides inventory assistance to upstream and downstream production processes
    • Assists in quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with Health Canada’s guidelines and guidelines pertaining to production, processing, packaging, labeling, shipping
    • Ensure compliance with regulations through internal auditing and quality systems by performing audits in production, facilities and maintenance for inventory, GPP, GMP and process quality compliance
    • Communicates any non-compliances to respective department stakeholders

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    Maintenance Manager

    The Hydropothecary is a licensed producer of medical marijuana, which is sold legally and directly to patients with a prescription from their doctor through our company website.     We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager who will report to the Director, Facilities and Security. The Facilities Manager will oversee our facilities team to ensure the overall upkeep of our installations, maintain production equipment and ensure a safe work environment. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Prioritize, dispatch and ensure completion of requests to repair or replace fixtures and/or equipment. The incumbent will be expected to take part in projects such as installing or moving furniture and equipment, drywall repair and painting, minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Participate in the development of a maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment such as HVAC systems, production machinery and building components.
    • Liaise with licensed service providers as required for specific maintenance or installation projects and ensure completion of work in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.
    • Manage facilities department staff, ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is assigned and completed to meet all applicable standards and regulations.
    • Conduct workplace inspections to ensure all equipment and workspaces are safe and up to Code, identify and eliminate (whenever possible) Occupational Health and Safety risks.
    • Oversee grounds keeping, including landscaping (i.e. grass cutting), snow removal and trash removal.
    • Act as main point of contact for other internal teams, such as those involved in security, cultivation, production and human resources.

    Packaging Specialist – Night Shift

    We are currently seeking Prepack Specialists who will be responsible for ensuring a good production flow in order to fulfill orders and market demand. The Prepack Specialist functions includes, but is not limited to:

    • Ensure quality control;
    • General maintenance of equipment and materials;
    • Clean and prepare containers for filling;
    • Load materials and products into package processing equipment;
    • Stack and pile goods into containers;

    Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator

    The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the implementation of environment, health and safety programs designed to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements specific to each of Hexo’s locations.

    Production Planner

    Responsibilities

    Director of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment

    Job Description:

    The Director of QHSE will need to ensure the implementation and the management the compliance, industry relevant safety standards and programs relative to safe work practices in all areas of the business. He/ She will report to the VP of Operations, keeps records of incidents, follows up on corrections, corrective actions and conducts audits in line with Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental standards and other relevant QHSE standards such as GMP and GPP.

    Maintenance Supervisor

    The Hydropothecary is a licensed producer of medical marijuana, which is sold legally and directly to patients with a prescription from their doctor through our company website. Founded in 2013, Hydropothecary aims to provide Canadians with quality products and an exceptional customer service experience.

    We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will report to the Director of Facilities and Security. The Facilities Supervisor will oversee our facilities team to ensure the overall upkeep of our installations, maintain production equipment and ensure a safe work environment.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Supervise a team of Facilities Specialists, including hiring, directing, training, and scheduling;
    • Prioritize, dispatch and ensure completion of requests to repair or replace fixtures and/or equipment. The incumbent will be expected to take part in projects such as installing or moving furniture and equipment, drywall repair and painting, minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Participate in the development of a maintenance schedule and ensure preventative maintenance of equipment such as HVAC systems, production machinery and building components.
    • Liaise with licensed service providers as required for specific maintenance or installation projects and ensure completion of work in accordance with industry and regulatory standards.
    • Conduct workplace inspections to ensure all equipment and workspaces are safe and up to Code, identify and eliminate (whenever possible) Occupational Health and Safety risks.

    Packaging Manager

    We are currently seeking a Secondary Packaging Manager who will report to the Vice-President of Operations.     Building Operator – Rotating Shift

    We are currently seeking a Building Operator who will report to the Facilities Manager and Supervisor. The Building Operator will work closely with other Facilities staff to ensure the overall upkeep of our greenhouses, maintain production equipment and ensure a safe work environment.

    • Analyzes the plant's operating results for raw materials and various other operating expenses, ensure the accuracy of data and reports, develop performance indicators and make recommendations;
    • Support operations in reviewing, analyzing and reporting on inventory valuation, inventory transactions, direct and indirect labor, direct material and subcontract costs, and other overhead costs incurred;

      What we need you to bring to HEXO Corp:

    We are currently seeking trades helpers and labourers to assist skilled workers and perform labourer tasks on construction sites.

      Trades helpers and labourers perform some or all the following duties:
    • Load and unload building materials and place them in work areas
    • Assemble and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, access ramps, walkways, shoring and barriers on construction sites

    Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HRBP will contribute to strategic discussions and decision-making with assigned internal client groups. The incumbent is expected to provide ideas and challenge management, thus acting as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement.

    Director of Capital Projects

    We are currently seeking a Director of Capital Projects. Reporting to the Chief Manufacturing Officer, the Director of Capital Projects is responsible for the planning, execution, delivery of and reporting on capital projects (both new construction and amendments to existing facilities) – ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget, in compliance with project specifications and business requirements.     • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work

      Qualifications
    • Proven experience as network and server technician or relevant position

    • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies
    • Hands-on experience with common software and hardware, including cloud and virtual infrastructure.
    • BSc/BA in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field is considered and asset
    • Certifications on relevant technology (Networking, Security, Cloud, etc) are considered an asset

    Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

    Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, the Analyst of FP&A will work closely with the Manager of FP&A and business unit leaders throughout the departments. S/He is a keen learner and is a resource for well-informed business recommendations and ideas. The successful candidate will be an aspiring finance professional (CPA or CFA) coupled with minimum of 2 years of industry experience in a financial management function.

    • Develop and maintain financial models and perform ad-hoc analyses;
    • Work closely with business unit leaders to prepare forecasts and budgets;
    • Monthly and quarterly review of actual results against budgets with critical variance analysis report;
    • Assist with the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-range planning processes; Prepare revenue/demand forecasts based on distribution and promotional programs;
    • Assist with the preparation of quarterly financial information required for Board of Directors and Audit Committee;
    • Support business unit leaders with financial analysis and recommendations;
    • Identify cost and revenue drivers and develop financial insights on earnings and cash flow;
    • Works closely with Accounting to ensure financial information is accurate
      Qualifications
    • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
    • Working towards a recognized professional designation (CFA, CPA) is an asset.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a strategic finance role
    • Strong financial modelling skills required, including intermediate knowledge of Excel (financial modelling) and PowerPoint (presentations);
    • Dependable and great team spirit;
    • French/English bilingualism as asset, but not required;
    • Excellent organizational skills;
    • Highly adaptable to unforeseen circumstances as we are expanding;
    • Strong attention to detail

    Sales Coordinator

    We are currently looking for a Sales Coordinator. This role is based in Montreal and will be reporting to the VP of Sales.

    • Receiving and triaging incoming calls, emails and/or mail, responding as directed or redirecting to the appropriate team member as required;
    • Drafting, editing, proofreading and distributing memos, correspondence, presentations and/or reports;
    • Coordinating travel arrangements (domestic and international) and submitting expense reports;
    • Coordinating meetings and other events, including: invitations, logistics, catering, agenda and document preparations, etc.;
    • Organizing facility tours;
    • Managing inventory of marketing material;
    • Liaising with suppliers and vendors related to marketing material and events: obtaining quotes, exploring venues, etc.;
    • Running various errands, as required. (i.e. pick-up and delivery or marketing materials, office supplies, etc.);
    • Conducting research or assisting with special projects.
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Strong attention to detail, organized and flexible;
    • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
    • Previous customer service experience is an advantage;
    • Bilingual;
    • Familiar with Microsoft suite is a must.
